It also boasts The Islands Restaurant, 24-hour room service, The Senate Bar, The Amber Salon, a massage therapist, curio shop, gym, and wireless internet. There are 200 undercover parking bays, a transport desk, a pool and terrace, and security-controlled and monitored grounds.
The Islands Restaurant serves a sumptuous buffet breakfast, an à la carte lunch and buffet dinner. Varied entertainment - in the form of bands, a pianist, or wine tasting - creates a convivial atmosphere for guests wishing to relax and enjoy a splendid meal. (Buffet dinners with entertainment are seasonal and take place from September until the end of April. From May to September, there will be a new à la carte menu).
The Senate Bar is open from 14:00 till late and the staff look forward to serving you the cocktail of your choice. There is also a lounge area in which you may relax.

Accommodation at the Protea Hotel President comprises 353 well-appointed rooms and suites on the Bantry Bay beachfront. In accordance with new smoking legislation, the hotel now offers 3 smoking and non-smoking floors.
Guests can choose to have either a sea-facing or mountain-facing room, as well as whether to have twin or double beds. The hotel also offers 3 disabled rooms and is designed (by means of ramps and elevators) to accommodate disabled guests.
Kitchenettes are stocked with cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, microwave, toaster and kettle and are perfect for long stays and self-catering. Note: kitchenettes do not contain hot plates or an oven.
Recent refurbishment has seen all of the rooms and passageways re-painted to create a warm and welcoming feeling. You will also find brand new beds and white linen bedding in all rooms. Additional fittings have also been modernised, such as reading lamps next to the beds - leaving the rooms looking modern and fresh.

Only 5 minutes from the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and Two Oceans Aquarium, 5 minutes from Clifton and Camps Bay Beach, 10 minutes from the Table Mountain Cable Way, and 25 minutes to Canal Walk shopping centre and the international airport.
Teenagers and adults alike can walk along the Sea Point Main Road adjacent to the hotel, where they can find many department stores, boutiques and restaurants. Directly in front of the hotel are small beaches as well as popular surf spots. The Sea Point promenade is popular amongst locals for romantic strolls and jogging. It starts in front of the hotel and continues to the V&A Waterfront. On this walk, children can be entertained by a park, a putt-putt course, the blue train picnic area and a maze.
