Newly renovated in 2007, AKA Central Park offers four-star studios and one bedroom apartments in a prime midtown location just steps off Fifth Avenue and a block away from New York’s famed Central Park. Great restaurants, shopping and museums are right outside your door. AKA balances the space of a doorman apartment building with the conveniences of deluxe hotel services.

AKA is the first hotelier specializing in deluxe apartment accommodations for five days or more.

Nightly stays include daily housekeeping. For stays of a week, 7 nights or more, AKA provides great value by extending more preferential rates. Housekeeping service is once per week. Additional housekeeping may be arranged for a nominal charge. Parking is available next door.

Area information

Located off 5th Avenue and Central Park at 58th Street, AKA is in the heart of the midtown business district. The shops of 5th and Madison Avenues are within walking distance, as is Lincoln Center, the Time Warner Center, Rockefeller Center, Times Square and the theater district. The Wall Street Financial District, downtown restaurants and clubs are easily accessible by subway, a block away from the AKA lobby.

My suite was kept extremely clean every day and the quality of the
furniture etc was excellent.... Staff very helpfull and nice and
location perfect.. I was surprised at the level of comfort and hotel
facilities.

One bedroom suite was great. Location great. Good price.

Staff were awful. I arrived with my two kids after 8 hour car journey. I
had booked a one bed suite through you. They checked me in and I got up
to the room to find it was a studio. I think they thought I might not
notice, because no apology was offered for the mistake. On pointing out
that I had booked a one bed , they tried to make me wait in the room for
them to sort it out.

The size of the room, the fact it had a kitchenette, the complementary breakfast and wifi internet.

Rooms could be a little more sound proof we had some noice from crying baby in next room (also as the hotel seems to attract families with little kids).

The fact that it was very close to all of the shoppijng and places to eat....

I would like room service every day and I should not have to pay 30 dollars for that.

They failed to give me the early morning wake up call I requested on the day of my departure. The driver they arranged for me didn't know how to get to the airport and did not take credit cards as promised by the front desk attendant.

The Room was very spacious and luxurious. Everything was provided for our comfort and it was nice staying indoors after a busy day.

The bathroom was a bit smaller than expected and we asked for 2 rooms close together after calling earlier at least three times but it was not honoured. I hope i don't get disappointed during my next stay.

Location, good service from staff,modern and clean,very quiet in spite of heavy traffic in 58th street,facilities like microwave,refrigerator,good bed,good bath.

No exactly "I didn't like" but as a sugestion ,the hotel could improve the continental breakfast adding cereals, fruit,ocassional cheese an cold cuts.
