The staff were helpful.

The room showed it's age, especially the bathroom. The broadband connection was £12.50 and was ridiculously slow.

I stay in London Hotels all the time, and this one often has good deals that make it the best value for money of any I stay in. The rooms are generally excellent and I like the fact that many of them have a fridge.

A horrible example of '70's architecture, and a little dated in some public areas, but who cares.

Some of the staffmembers were friendly, location near very good and affordable Italian resto Carluccio's in St Johnswood High St

I stayed here before then it was old, now improved so I came back a few times but this time not ok. Reception girl was bold. Construction works, very noisy. Cleaning staff made too much noise in early morning. Fire alarm went off 2 x for practise without warning!! Which was quite shocking. This time my collegue also booked here on my recomm so I was embarresed cause I told her it was better now.

The room was very comfortable, we had one of the refurbished rooms and
it was very nice, we had to return to the hotel to stay a second night
that wasn't planned, and the staff were very accomodating, on the 2nd
occasion I had one of the non refurbished rooms and it was fine also.

The food in the restaurant was not great, I had a fish risotto and there
was an overpowering taste of fish off it, then I had steak, I asked for
it well done, but it came out very hard and crispy it was like he left
it the pan while I was eating my first course, then I had apple crumble
for desert, this was served in a soup bowl scalding hot and it was very
bland in taste

Useful staff, good breakfast, no fuss.The location is excellent for Central London.

The wrong newspapers delivered to room on both days (Financial Times and Sunday Telegraph instead of the Times and Sunday Times as requested.
